BACKGROUND

The challenge

I led this engagement in a previous agency leadership role. The brand operated in a niche category and needed organic visibility with the audience searching for its kind of service.

With a niche offer, the work had to find the relevant searches that did have volume, and build content that matched what those searchers wanted.

Client and agency not named for confidentiality. I led the strategy; the work was delivered with my team at the time.

EXECUTION

What we did

01

Keyword research

Researched and prioritised high-volume, relevant keywords for implementation.

02

Content enhancement

Enhanced existing content and aligned it with the targeted keywords and search intent.

03

Informative blog posts

Developed blog posts on industry topics that showcased the brand's approach.

04

Technical SEO and page speed

Identified and resolved technical SEO issues and optimised page speed.

STRATEGIC LESSON

The takeaway

For a niche brand, matching content to the intent behind a small set of relevant searches does more than chasing broad volume.
