OUTCOMES
What this engagement is measured on
Every client's goals are different, and most are a mix. In the first weeks we agree which of these matter to you, record a baseline, and report against it every month. Targets are set after the audit, never promised up front.
Traffic and engagement
Grow non-branded organic clicks to the pages that matter commercially.
- What we measure
- Non-branded organic clicks, organic sessions and users, engaged sessions and click-through rate.
- What usually moves first
- Impressions, rankings and click-through rate on pages that are fixed or rewritten.
- What follows
- Sustained growth in organic clicks and engaged sessions.
Leads, sales and revenue
Turn that traffic into enquiries, sales or sign-ups you can see in GA4 or your CRM.
- What we measure
- Organic enquiries and leads, conversion rate of key pages, and organic revenue and its share of the total.
- What usually moves first
- Conversion tracking you can trust, and better conversion paths on the pages that already get traffic.
- What follows
- Growth in organic leads, sales and revenue share.
Authority: backlinks and topic authority
Build the links and topic depth needed to compete for harder terms.
- What we measure
- Relevant referring domains, link quality, Domain Authority/Rating trend and how much of each topic your site covers and ranks for.
- What usually moves first
- New links from relevant sites and more of your topic pages indexed and ranking.
- What follows
- Rankings on the competitive head terms that need authority to move.
Value delivered vs investment
Show what the organic results are worth against paid clicks and paid leads.
- What we measure
- What the organic results would cost to buy as paid clicks or paid leads (CPC and CPL based value), and hours saved where work is automated.
- What usually moves first
- An agreed baseline and the tracking needed to put a value on results.
- What follows
- A value-to-investment ratio you can track month by month.

Who this is for
Pune is known for manufacturing and engineering, especially its automotive and auto-component base, alongside a large IT services sector and a long-standing reputation for education. For SEO, the most under-served group is the industrial exporter: a company making precision parts, valves, castings or machinery for buyers in Germany, the US or the Middle East, with a website that is essentially a digital brochure.
Industrial buyers search in very specific terms: part types, materials, standards, tolerances and certifications. When that information sits in PDFs and image galleries, Google can't match it to searches, and B2B directories and marketplaces take the enquiry instead. Turning specifications into crawlable, well-structured pages is usually the biggest single win.
Selling to several countries also means planning international SEO keyword research market by market, and often a redesign or domain change along the way. I've led international SEO operations at scale, and I treat any rebuild with a proper site migration checklist so you don't lose the visibility you already have.
- Engineering, manufacturing and auto-component exporters in Pune, Chakan and Pimpri-Chinchwad
- Industrial companies that get most enquiries from trade directories and want their own pipeline
- IT services and engineering-services firms in Pune selling to international clients
- Colleges, universities and training institutes recruiting students from across India
- Dealer and distributor networks that need consistent local SEO across Maharashtra
DIAGNOSIS
Problems I solve
Common constraints teams face before we begin working together.
"Our website is just a brochure"
"All our leads come from directories"
"We export to five countries but only rank in India"
"Admissions season comes and our pages aren't ready"
What makes SEO in Pune different
Pune's industrial and education base creates search problems most generic SEO packages don't address.
Many Pune businesses don't need to rank for "Pune" at all. Their buyers are procurement engineers abroad or students in other states. Here's how that shapes the strategy.
| Pune market reality | What it means for your SEO |
|---|---|
| Manufacturing and engineering exporters | International SEO: market-by-market research, country targeting, and content in buyers' terminology and standards |
| Automotive and auto-component supply chain | Technical specification pages by part type, material and application; certifications visible and crawlable |
| B2B directories dominate industrial searches | Win long-tail specification queries on your own site; keep directory listings as a secondary channel |
| Large IT and engineering-services sector | Capability pages by industry and platform, backed by detailed project proof |
| Strong education and training sector | Programme pages published ahead of admission cycles; clear fees, eligibility and outcomes |
| Marathi and English queries | Marathi research for local consumer and dealer searches; English for export and B2B |
Family-owned manufacturers often have deep technical knowledge that never reaches the website. Much of my job is extracting it from your engineers into pages that buyers and search engines can read.
Looking for an SEO company in Pune? What to compare first
If you searched for an SEO company, you're probably comparing agencies. I'm not one: I lead every engagement personally, with a team of specialists for execution. Here's how the two models differ.
Pune has SEO agencies that do solid local and national work. Industrial and export SEO is a narrower skill, so compare carefully.
| Dimension | Pune SEO agency | Senior remote consultant (me) |
|---|---|---|
| Typical focus | Local SEO, social and content packages | International, technical and B2B industrial SEO |
| Who leads | Account manager | I lead strategy personally |
| Handling technical content | Writers paraphrase your brochure | Structured interviews with your engineers turned into spec pages |
| Site rebuilds | Often handled by the web team alone | SEO-led migration planning and checks |
| Reporting | Rankings and traffic | RFQs and enquiries by country and product line |
An agency is a reasonable choice for a single-location shop or a dealer that mainly needs listings and posts. For exporters and B2B manufacturers, where one good international buyer can be worth a lot, senior strategy tends to pay back faster than more monthly output. Your SEO consultant in Pune, working remotely from Mumbai
I'm based in Mumbai and don't have an office in Pune. The engagement runs remotely, and because the two cities are close, in-person sessions such as a plant visit or a workshop with your engineering team can be discussed for larger engagements.
How it works
- Calls: a kick-off call, short interviews with your engineers or faculty, then regular reviews. We agree the review rhythm at the start, usually fortnightly or monthly.
- Dashboard: Looker Studio with enquiries and RFQs by country, product line and page.
- Shared trackers: a simple task and content tracker so your team sees what's planned, in review and live.
- Response times: I aim to reply within one working day; launch-day or migration issues get same-day attention.
What I need from you
- Search Console, GA4 and website admin access, owned by your company.
- Product catalogues, spec sheets and certifications, even if they're in PDFs or Excel.
- An hour or two of engineering or faculty time for interviews early on.
- Sales feedback on which enquiries became real quotes or orders.
What Pune businesses ask before hiring an SEO expert in Pune
"Is SEO worth it for a manufacturer?" For exporters with high-value orders, often yes, because a few qualified international enquiries can justify the investment. For businesses that sell only to a handful of known OEMs, SEO may matter less than direct sales. I'll say so if that's you.
"What drives the cost?" Number of markets and languages, the size of your catalogue, whether a redesign is involved, and whether my team or yours executes. For market ranges, see SEO pricing in India.
"Can you guarantee international rankings?" No. Any provider who guarantees rankings is a red flag, and Google says the same. What I commit to is the process, quality checks and transparent reporting.
"Can we start small?" Yes. You can start with the audit and roadmap on its own; there's no minimum engagement.
"How long before we see RFQs?" Catalogue and technical fixes can lift visibility within weeks. Competitive international terms usually take six months or more.
"How do we evaluate you?" Ask the questions to ask an SEO consultant. You keep ownership of all accounts and content, with no lock-in.

FAQ
SEO expert in pune: questions clients ask
Straight answers to what people usually want to know before a first call.
Yes. I work with Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad businesses remotely from Mumbai, mainly manufacturers, exporters, IT services firms and education brands. Work runs through video calls and shared dashboards. I don't have a Pune office, but in-person sessions such as a workshop or plant visit can be discussed for larger engagements.
A September 2026 market survey puts B2B SEO in India at roughly ₹1,00,000–4,00,000 a month and multi-branch local SEO, such as a dealer or distributor network, at about ₹40,000–1,00,000 a month. The number of markets and languages, the size of your catalogue and whether my team executes decide where you sit. If you run a single shop or clinic, I usually recommend a one-off local audit and plan instead. I scope after the intro call.
Look for a named person you can speak to, real knowledge of how buyers in your market search, proof you can check, such as case studies or a track record you can verify, and no promise of rankings. A page that only swaps the city name into the same text is a warning sign: it suggests nobody has looked at your market closely. For transparency, I'm based in Mumbai and work with Pune businesses remotely, and I say so on this page.
No. AI Overviews and assistants still rely on pages they can find, read and trust, which is what good SEO builds. What's changed is that being named in an AI answer now matters alongside ranking, so AI-search visibility is part of every SEO engagement I run as standard.
Choose one or two priority export markets, research how buyers there search for your products, and build crawlable pages for each product line with specifications, standards and applications. Add clear RFQ paths and track enquiries by country. Directory listings can continue, but your own site should capture the specific, high-intent searches.
Usually not. Most exporters do well with one domain and, only where content genuinely differs by region or language, subfolders with correct hreflang. Separate country domains add cost and split authority. The right structure depends on your markets, languages and how different your offer is in each.
Only where your audience searches in Marathi, typically local consumer services, dealers and some education queries. Export and B2B industrial searches are overwhelmingly in English or the buyer's own language. I check real query data before recommending Marathi pages so effort goes where searchers are.
Before design starts. Most traffic losses after a redesign come from changed URLs without redirects, removed content and new templates that hide key information. I map existing URLs, plan redirects, review templates and check the site before and after launch so the new site keeps what the old one earned.
